| St. Paul United Church of Christ has been faced with accessibility issues at their present facility in Columbia, Illinois. Altman-Charter Company was hired to find a cost effective solution. After several design solutions were presented, the church selected one which solved their current problems. This included an addition along with remodeling various areas in the facility. The addition will facilitate a covered curb side entry, an elevator to ease accessibility, and classroom, meeting, choir, and restroom facilities. The cathedral style architecture will be retained for the addition. Some interior remodeling of the existing structure will help with the evolving function and transitions to the new addition. The addition and remodel will make the existing church structure more accommodating to the congregation and their guests.
