John has unofficially been a part of the construction industry since he was a child, often trailing his father (a JJ Altman Employee) between construction sites. In 1985, John joined the Altman-Charter team as a Project Manager. Most of his success can be attributed to skills he has learned while on the job and has distinguished him from others through his strong analytical and problem-solving expertise.
Since becoming President in 2004, John has taken an active role in Altman-Charter’s preconstruction efforts, supporting the process leading up to the start of a project (including progress drawing review, cost analysis, value engineering, design constructability reviews, contract document review, etc.). John works closely with the estimating/procurement staff to ensure each project is bid effectively and competitively.
John holds his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Marquette University. He is an avid sports fan and in his free time enjoys spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren.
Eddie Stechschulte joined Altman-Charter in 2003. With nine years of Project Management experience, he has extensive experience in both new construction and renovation of a variety of Multi-Family and Senior living projects.
In 2013 he transitioned into the Business Development role with the goal to expand Altman-Charter’s presence in Senior, Affordable, Multi-Family, and remodel projects. Today, he works closely with clients from project conception to completion to ensure the needs of the project and the clients are being met.
As a Kansas City native, Eddie can always be found rooting for his beloved Jayhawks and ALL Missouri MLB teams alongside his family.
Greg entered the estimating profession in 1998. In 2002, he joined Altman-Charter and in 2006 he took on a management role to oversee all conceptual/detail estimating, value engineering, bid processing, purchasing, and scheduling for the company. Greg works closely with project managers during the preconstruction phase and oversees all aspects of the bidding process with subcontractors and suppliers.
Greg is an alum of Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville. He enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters and is an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
Anthony joined the engineering/construction industry in 2011. Prior to joining Altman-Charter Company, Anthony worked in the manufacturing and industrial industry designing steel and wood framed cooling tower structures. In 2014, Anthony joined Thornton Tomasetti in Chicago, IL where he served as the Lead Field Engineer on the Wrigley Field Renovations. In early 2016, he joined Altman-Charter Company as a Project Manager and in 2021 he was promoted to Project Executive.
Anthony holds his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Marquette University and his Master of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Missouri. Anthony and his wife Kim have two daughters.
Mike joined Altman-Charter Company in 1998. He has 17 years of Project Management experience. He brings a wealth of knowledge and problem-solving experience to the team and thrives under pressure. Since joining Altman-Charter he has managed the construction of over 1,000 Senior/Multifamily units. In 2021 Mike became the Director of Operations overseeing the field personnel and the day to day operations on site.
Mike holds his Bachelor’s degree from Southern Missouri State University. Mike enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife and two sons.
